about us
Tiny Trails Therapy is a nature-based occupational therapy practice serving children ages 3-15 in Jackson, Wyoming. We provide therapy outdoors, using play, movement, and real-world experiences to help children build the skills they need for daily life.
Founded and operated by a team with backgrounds in both occupational therapy and adaptive sports, Tiny Trails Therapy combines clinical expertise with extensive experience in movement-based and outdoor programming. Our occupational therapy background includes work across the lifespan, with individuals of varying abilities and in diverse settings, allowing us to create individualized, flexible approaches for each child. In addition, our experience in adaptive recreation has shaped a deep understanding of how movement, challenge, and supportive environments build confidence, skill development, and meaningful participation.
Our approach integrates evidence-based occupational therapy with the therapeutic benefits of nature and play. Research shows that outdoor and movement-rich environments can support improvements in attention, self-regulation, motor skills, and social participation (Faber Taylor & Kuo, 2009; Tillmann et al., 2018). Additionally, play-based and contextually relevant interventions are widely supported within occupational therapy as effective methods for promoting skill development and generalization to daily life (American Occupational Therapy Association, 2020).
We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged in meaningful experiences. By stepping outside of the traditional clinic and into natural settings, we help children build skills that translate directly into home, school, and community life by supporting confidence, resilience, and long-term participation.
